We have two great pieces of news from the Environmental Protection Department of JSC “AltynEx Company”. Firstly, since this year, four air quality monitoring stations have been operating at our mine. AMS-09 devices are installed along the perimeter of the Yubileynoye deposit at four points: west, east, north, and south.
Secondly, the devices operate using green technologies – a wind turbine and solar panels! It is important to note that this is an initiative of environmentalists themselves, who are always trying to find solutions that are best for the environment.
What are AMS-09 type stations for? Dinara Bissenbayeva, Head of the Environmental Protection Department, told us about this:
– Air quality monitoring stations help conduct synoptic and climate observations, as well as air quality monitoring. In particular, we monitor suspended particles, Carbon monoxide (CO) Sulfur dioxide (SO₂), Nitrogen dioxide (NO₂), wind speed and direction, temperature, humidity, and pressure. According to our observations, all indicators are normal.
